outbound integration

Hi all,

In integration process I am bit confused.

In inbound process - my destination storage types are maintained as HU requirement is mandatory.

in POSC I am completing all the process steps and placing the goods in the final bins. Now in the bins my stock is available in Handling Units.

to this I am clear with.

When I am working with outbound process I am confused.

process steps are picking , packing , staging and loading of the goods into TU.

My understanding for the picking process is ( warehouse tasks are grouped according to certain criteria and forms a warehouse order). Warehouse employee will be assigned with warehouse order and after picking the goods he will confirm the order.

so in real business he will take the crate box (from system point of view we are creating pick HU) and move to each bin and pick the goods from bin and place the goods in cratebox?

This means after completion of picking - the Pick HU will be the top HU and all picked HU's will be lower level HU ?

next step is moving the pick HU to packing workcenter.

at this stage we are moving the goods from pick HU to ship HU. Does this means the lower level HU's needs to be packed into Shippable packing material?

If the products are placed in the bin without HU's - I can understand that requested products are picked into pick HU and then moved to packing workcenter to pack individually.

I have gone through documents and books and did not get clarity on this.

in picking process it was mentioned that we are picking the products from bins and placing into pick HU. ( did not given clarity on the HU data of the Bin).

Can some one throw idea of the picking process ( when bin holds the HU data).

your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
